Ganbold Ganbayar Signs Professional Contract with Puskás Akadémia FC, Makes History

Image property of Puskás Akadémia FC Ganbold Ganbayar has earned an early birthday gift. The-soon-to-be 18-year old has signed his first professional contract, Puskás Akadémia FC announced today. Ganbayar has been with the club since August 2016 after he was selected to join the youth ranks of Puskás Akadémia FC as part of a partnership between the Mongolian Football Federation and the Hungarian Football Federation. Although three other rounds of invitees have come and gone since then, Ganbayar remains. In early April it was announced that wunderkind Ganbold Ganbayar would be on loan to Ulaanbaatar City FC until the end of October 2018, meaning that he would remain with the club through the 2018 Premier League season. However, the loan seems to have been cut short as the player returned to Hungary in late July. Ganbayar made only two league appearances during his loan, scoring one goal. It was not long before he got back into meaningful competition as he featured for Puskás Akadémia FC U19 in the 2018 Honved Cup hosted by fellow Hungary side Budapest Honved FC early this month. MFF Confirms Five MNT Matches, EAFF Cup Details

It's an exciting time to be a fan of Mongolian football, particularly of the Blue Wolves. Earlier this week the Mongolian Football Federation officially announced five upcoming matches which is very likely the busiest schedule the teams has ever played in a month span. Three of the matches are the first round matches for the 2019 EAFF Championship which were previously announced. As confirmed earlier, the matches will be played at the MFF Stadium in Ulaanbaatar, marking the first time that Mongolia has ever hosted any matches in the tournament. 2018 First League Season Comes to an End

Final-2018 First League Table The 2018 Mongolian First League season came to a close earlier this month and next year's two new Premier League participants have been decided. This season's competition featured nine matches, one match against each other team. The past two seasons have consisted of eighteen matches with each team playing each other twice. This is the first, and only other, 9-match season since the inaugural First League campaign in 2015.
