Today both Ulaanbaatar City FC and FC Ulaanbaatar announced the loan move which will see capped international goalkeeper Amarbayasgalan Saikhanchuluun join FCUB for the 2018 season.
Ulaanbaatar City FC will receive 10,000,000 MNT for the loan.
Saikhanchuluun joined Ulaanbaatar City FC in October 2017 for a fee of 2,000,000 MNT from Khangarid but found himself occupying the backup spot behind standout Italian Mauro Boerchio.
Last last month the club announced the signing of last year's Goalkeeper of the Year, American Austin Rogers. With Rogers almost guaranteed the starting role for City in 2018, it should be no surprise that both the player and club would be eager to find Saikhanchuluun minutes.
Saikhanchuluun made his senior international debut under head coach Michael Weiss in October 2017 in a friendly match against Taiwan. However, he bumped down the depth chart and was an unused substitute in the Blue Wolves' recent friendlies against Malaysia and Mauritius.
