The Mongolian international transfer window ahead of the 2020 season began on 31 October 2019 and ended 15 January 2020. The domestic transfer window will close on 15 March 2020.

Deren FC announces Paulo Silva as new head coach. Born in Portugal in May 1972, he began his coaching career with the academy of Bundesliga club VFB Stuttgart. After that, he coached in England, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Costa Rica, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Nigeria and China. His most recent position was coaching Xiapu FC of China.

MPL MVP Pavel Zakhorov joins FC Chita during the Mongolian offseason. It is unclear whether the move is permanent or if he will return to Khangarid in 2020.

SP Falcons resign 24-year-old Ivorian striker David Saviola for the 2020 season after winning the Golden Boot in 2019. He originally joined the club during the 2018 season.

FC Ulaanbaatar has announced the signing of four players from Japan for the 2020 season: Kazutaka Otsu, Mizuho Sasaki, Atsuya Asaoka and Masaka Soma. Otsu (MF) played for the same for the 2015/16 season before moving on to Three Kings United in New Zealand and Kamphaengphet FC in Thailand. Soma (FW) joins the club from Hokkaido Tokachi Sky Earth in Japan's Hokkaido Soccer League (5th Division).

Athletic 220 has also announced four foreign signings for the upcoming season: 28-year-old Japanese MF Kosuke Asano from Evo United in Laos; Taku Hishida who most recently played for Rēzeknes FA of the Latvian second division (also played for Selenge Press in 2015/16); Satoshi Savamure from Japan's Fortuna Oyama; and Takio Miyazaki of NK Polet Pribislavec in Croatia.

In a surprise move Ulaanbaatar City FC has named Serbian Vojislav Bralušić months after Donorovyn Lümbengarav lead the team to its first league championship. It is unclear if Lümbengarav will still have a role with the club.

SP Falcons has named three foreign players that were signed before the transfer window closed including: Takuya Miyabashi-29-year-old Japanese MF; Sukei Matsumoto-Japanese MF most recently with Fesmoche V Hamamatsu; and 21-year-old Japanese DF Takumi Hiruma from St. George FC in Malta. Hiruma scored three goals in six appearances for the Maltese club.

Despite earlier announcing the resigning of David Saviola, he has been transferred to a team in the Ivory Coast Premier Division after receiving an offer.

UB City have announced the signing of four foreign players for the 2020 season before the close of the international transfer window.

32-year-old Serbian striker Igor Grkajac joins from FK Borac Cacak. He has a wealth of experience in his homeland, Malta, and the Faroe Islands.

34-year-old Serbian defender Srđan Simović has joined the club, also from FK Borac Cacak.

Jovan Zucović is a 29-year-old Serbian defender who signs from FK Dinamo Vranje. He is a youth product of Red Star Belgrade.

Yuya Kuriama who most recently played in the Japanese fourth division has also been signed.

Deren FC has signed Japanese player Yushi Kawaguchi from Rappracha FC in Thailand.

New head coach Paulo Jorge Silva has also signed compatriot Evenlon Gomez Toledo Junior for the 2020 season.

Khangarid FC has added Japanese players Yukihiro Aoki from Kamakura International FC and Ivakhashi Satoshi who has played at St. Patrick Athletic in Ireland.

Last year's runners-up Erchim FC announced three legionnaires that were signed before the close of the international transfer window. Joining the club is 29-year-old Japanese midfielder Soma Otani who most recently played for Lao Toyota in Laos. He previously played for clubs in Montenegro, Bosnia, and Thailand. He is joined by Mitani Tsubasa. The 27-year-old attacking player most recently played for Asia Euro United FC in Cambodia.Tsubasa was previously part of the FK Panevezys that won the Lithuanian league in 2018. Finally, the team has signed Nigerian striker Lucky Akpevwe Emeriojake. The 25-year-old joins Erchim from Heartland FC in his homeland. He previously played for Warri Wolves, also of Nigeria.

The domestic transfer window will close on 15 March 2020.

SP Falcons FC has signed Mongolian midfielder Ganbold Battulga. The 24-year-old player most recently played for relegated Khaan Khuns Titem since 2017 and returns to Selenge Press after be part of the club as a youth player. He can also play as striker. He scored one goal last season, a stoppage time tally against Anduud City on 2 October.

Ulaanbaatar City has announced that 34-year-old current captain of the senior men's national team Bayasgalangiin Garidmagnai will serve as assistant coach under new head coach Vojislav Bralušić. It is unclear whether the Deren FC defender has called an end to his playing career.

SP Falcons have announced the signing of Mongolian defender Sükhbat Dölgöön. Dölgöön (born 4 April 1995) has played for Anduud City FC since 2016 when it was called Goyo FC. He has scored 15 league goals over that time.

Ulaanbaatar City has signed Russian forward Pavel Zakharov for the 2020 season. He was the MPL's second highest scorer last year with 28 goals for Khangarid FC.

Former Ulaanbaatar City midfielder Yago Perez returns to Spain after joining Algeciras CF of the Spanish third division. Yago Perez departed the Mongolian club before the conclusion of the 2019 season.

15 March 2020 Erchim FC have announced the acquisition of seven domestic players. They are Ts.Tümenjargal of Deren FC, Ts. Tömör-Ochir of Deren FC, E. Enkh-Orchlon of Khaan Khüns Titem, G. Temüüjin of Khaan Khüns Titem, B. Sod-Ochir of Khaan Khüns Titem, and Turbat Mönkhbaatar of Ulaanbaatar City. Additionally the club has signed national teamer Norjmooj Tsedenbal after a messy contract dispute with Ulaanbaatar City.

The domestic transfer window closed on 16 March 2020.

The summer transfer window was open from 22 June to July 3.
