Bayern Munich Youth Product Joins FC Ulaanbaatar

On 15 August 2022 FC Ulaanbaatar announced the signing of 27-year-old Nigerian striker Emeka Emerun for the upcoming season before the close of the summer transfer window.
After starring in a youth tournament in Denmark at age 16, he was signed by German super club Bayern Munich because of his performance. He remained with the club for almost two years, being promoted to the reserve side in 2011.
Following his time in Germany, Emerun spent the next two years in Tunisia's top division with CA Bizertin which also included time on loan with Esperance and Béja. After departing Bizertin, he spent the next seven years in playing in the top two tiers of Serbia with clubs Sloboda Uzice, Radnicki Pirot, and most recently FK Buducnost Dobanovci. He has been without a club since being released from the latter in January 2022.
Emerun also gained experience with the Nigerian national under-20 side.
Emerun, who gained Serbian citizenship during his time in the country, joins his compatriot and manager Vojislav Bralušić. He will have his first opportunity to represent the FC Ulaanbaatar in official competition will be 21 August when the club takes on Khaan Khuns Erchim in the 2022/23 Super Cup to kick off the Mongolian football season.
