Mongolian Football Central has learned that Mongolian national team defender Filip Chinzorig has officially joined Loyola FC of the Philippines Football League, the highest level of football in the country. The contract will (initially) be for 2024-2025 season.

The Danish-born defender played most of his young career in Europe with clubs in Denmark and the Czech Republic before being heavily recruited by FC Ulaanbaatar. He joined the club during the winter 2024 transfer window, signing for the remainder of the season. The centre-back appeared in all sixteen matches, tallying one goal and one assist over the MPL spring season.

About his time with FCU, Chinzorig says he had a very pleasant experience during his time in Mongolia and feels he grew as a professional. His connections to his culture also grew as he lived with his grandmother and spent his first significant amount of time in the country.

2024 was also a breakout year for the player at the national team level. He appeared in six of the Blue Wolves' seven matches of the year, including those in FIFA World Cup and AFC Asian Cup qualification. He started in the defense of both of the team's victories of the year, a friendly against Cambodia and an Asian Cup qualification match against Timor-Leste.

Loyola FC, founded in 2006, experienced its biggest success in 2014 when it was runners-up of the country's top division. Since that time, the club has experienced both ups and downs, including financial difficulties and a spell out of the top flight. Originally based in the capital Manila, this year the team has been relocated to Palawan, the largest province by area in the Philippines.

Chinzorig could make his debut on 28 September 2024 as Loyola FC opens its season against Davao Aguilas.
