Silva Out, Slovakian Replacement In at Deren FC

On 22 December Deren FC unveiled its third consecutive European manager, penning a deal with Slovakian Marek Fabuľa through Summer 2023. The 46-year-old holds an UEFA Pro license.
Fabul'a had a 15-year playing career that included a stop at prestigious Slovakian club Slovan Bratislava from 1999 to 2000. He also spent a approximately three years in Cyprus with Enosis Neon THOI Lakatamia.
Shortly before retiring as a player, he began his coaching career with the youth sides of 1. FC Tatran Prešov in his hometown before becoming an assistant with the U19 national team. He then worked his way from assistant of the reserve squad of MFK Košice to head coach of the senior side. From 2015-2017 he was head coach of FK Železiarne Podbrezová before moving across town to Železiarne Podbrezová from 2017 to 2018. He was most recently head coach of FC Košice of the Slovak 2. Liga.
Fabul'a has already started working virtually with the Deren squad and is expected to arrive in Mongolia in February 2022.
Fabul'a replaces popular and energetic Portuguese head coach Paulo Jorge Silva. Silva joined Deren on a three-year deal in December 2019. Ultimately, he steered the club through two MPL seasons, earning a 6th place finish in 2020 before finishing as runners-up in 2021. Silva himself replaced longtime Deren FC manager Vojislav Bralušić of Serbia.
In addition to their new coach the club revealed a major shirt sponsorship deal with Turkish Airlines.
