Goyo FC Rebrands to Anduud City Club for 2018

Fans of Mongolian football may have been confused as they saw Matchday 1's result of Deren FC 1, Anduud City Club 0. Keener-eyed fans also would have noticed that Goyo FC, last year's Premier League newcomers, were absent from the match reports. This is no coincidence as Goyo FC has been rebranded as Anduud City Club beginning the 2018 season. The new name comes from sponsorship which was part of the major 1,000,000,000 MNT deal announced between the Mazala group and the Mongolian Football Federation earlier this month. Ulaanbaatar City Win Super Cup 4-2, End Erchim's Dominance

In the six times that the Mongolian Super Cup has been played since its inception in 2011, Erchim FC has been dominant. The team from Power Plant #4 has won the yearly contest between the previous season's league champion and cup champions all six times. That all changed today as the rising power of Mongolian football Ulaanbaatar City FC defeated Erchim FC 4-2, becoming just the second team ever to win the cup. UB City was dominant in the first half, taking the lead after only eleven minutes and taking a 4-0 lead into the halftime break. UB City Signs Starlet Temuujin

Ulaanbaatar City FC has been a magnet of sorts this offseason, attracting the best talent from around the league and elsewhere. Today the club announced the addition of 19-year-old starlet Amaraa Temuujin from Deren FC on a 3-year deal worth 7,200,000 MNT per year. In 2017 Temuujin proved to be a dangerous playmaker, providing five assists, enough to rank 8th in the league in that statistic. Temuujin also emerged into the national side in the last year, making a single substitute appearance for the under-23 team during AFC Championship qualification.

FC Ulaanbaatar Receives National Team GK on Loan

Today both Ulaanbaatar City FC and FC Ulaanbaatar announced the loan move which will see capped international goalkeeper Amarbayasgalan Saikhanchuluun join FCUB for the 2018 season. Ulaanbaatar City FC will receive 10,000,000 MNT for the loan. Saikhanchuluun joined Ulaanbaatar City FC in October 2017 for a fee of 2,000,000 MNT from Khangarid but found himself occupying the backup spot behind standout Italian Mauro Boerchio. Last last month the club announced the signing of last year's Goalkeeper of the Year, American Austin Rogers. Wunderkind Ganbayar Joins Ulaanbaatar City on Loan

Today Ulaanbaatar City FC announced the addition of 17-year-old Ganbold Ganbayar on loan from Puskas Akademia FC of Hungary for the 2018 season. The player will earn 6,000,000 MNT per month in the deal. Ganbayar famously joined Hungary's Puskas Akademia FC in September 2016 after tryouts in Mongolia. He went on to make Mongolian history by winning bronze in the 2017 Puskas Cup, during which he appeared against the academies of footballing giants FC Bayern Munich and Budapest Honved. In the latter match, Ganbayar converted his penalty attempt following regulation time to help secure the bronze medal for his club. Athletic 220 Continues to Build Roster

Today Athletic 220 FC announced that they have made several additions to the club's roster for the 2018 season. Midfielder B.Ulzee-Od joins the club on a 3-year contract from FC Selengepress. He will wear #21. Japanese midfielder Murata Shori will be the club's new #14. The player joins Athletic 220 from reigning Laotian champions Lao Toyota FC. The final addition is Japanese midfielder/striker Norito Hashiguchi, known as "Houmba'. This will be Hashiguchi's first time playing for a club outside of Japan. The 22-year-old will wear #4.

FC Selengepress Signs Two

Today FC Selengepress announced the signing of two Japanese players to its roster for the 2018 season. Those players are goalkeeper Hidaoka Yuki and midfielder Dukuchi Shoma.

GK Milos Rnic Returns to Deren FC

Today Deren FC announced a key addition to its squad in the return of goalkeeper Milos Rnic for the 2018 season. Last season, Rnic ranked first in the league among goalkeepers with 82.3% save percentage. He was also third in the league in total saves. Rnic was considered for the Goalkeeper of the Year Award but ultimately lost to American Austin Rogers who made 40 more saves over the course of the season. Following the 2017 seson, Deren FC announced that the former Belgrade Lokomotiva goalkeeper had left the club to return home to his native Serbia. Rnic's signing is the second key addition to the squad in the past week with futsal league MVP and Mongolian international Khürelbaataryn Tend-A

Ulaanbaatar City FC Sign Ivorian Striker

Ulaanbaatar City FC announced today that the club has signed Ivory Coast youth international Arthur Kouassi for the 2018 season. The 28-year-old striker (born 17 November 1989) brings a wealth of experience from across Asia. Kouassi's Asian odyssey began at Shenzhen FC of the the second tier of football in China in 2012. In 2013 he transferred to Citizen Athletic Association of the Hong Kong First Division where he spent one season. From Hong Kong he moved to the Philippines where he split three seasons as a member of Manila Jeepney FC and Global Cebu FC, both the country's first division. After leaving Global Cebu FC, Kouassi signed for Chin United of Myanmar's National League for one year.

T&T International Signs for Ulaanbaatar City FC

Two days after Ulaanbaatar City FC announced the signing of 2017 Goalkeeper of the Year Austin Rogers, they have now announced the addition of Trinidad and Tobago international defender Seon Powers for the 2018 season. The 34-year-old defender most recently played for Central FC in his domestic league. Powers, however, brings a vast amount of experience in Asia to the team, having played for almost six years in Thailand. He spent several seasons with Chainat Hornbill FC, now in the top division in Thailand, before going on loan to Dome FC Rangsit and later joining Phuket FC. Deren FC Signs Futsal MVP to 5-year Deal

Deren FC announced today that they have signed midfielder Khürelbaataryn Tend-Ayush to a 5-year contract through the 2023 season. The 28-year-old recently won the Player of the Season award for the Mongolian Futsal League as his Khoromkhon FC earned the bronze medal. Tend-Ayush has previously played in the Premier League for Khoromkhon and Ulaanbaataryn Unaganuud FC. He has also earned 14 caps for the Mongolian national team, scoring the game-winning goal against Myanmar in 2014 World Cup qualification.
